UTOPIAN ARCHITECTURE

It's a place where people are permitted to live in public view once a week for one hour and are only referred to by numbers instead of names.

BUBBLE BUILDING FOR PEOPLE WITH A.I.D.S.

Proposed memorial to AIDS in New York City, where more people have died from the disease than anywhere else in the country. (View the design for the future New York City AIDS Memorial at St. Vincent’s Hospital Park) The location is perfect, Erlich said. "We think it's a very unique location because of all the history around it. It's an ideal place for this to happen in New York," he said, adding, "I'm not familiar with any other project that is like this." "We really hope it will actually be built," he said.

UTOPIAN ARCHITECTURE

It is believed that advanced science and technology will allow utopia living standards; for example, the absence of death and suffering; changes in human nature and the human condition. Technology has affected the way humans have lived to such an extent that normal functions, like sleep, eating or even reproduction, have been replaced by artificial means.

ORGANIC MUTANT ARCHITECTURE

In biology and especially genetics, a mutant is an organism or a new genetic character arising or resulting from an instance of mutation, which is a base-pair sequence change within the DNA of a gene or chromosome of an organism. Organic Mutant Architecture should not be confused with organisms born with developmental abnormalities, which are caused by errors during morphogenesis. In a developmental abnormality, the DNA of the organism is unchanged and the abnormality cannot be passed on to progeny. Conjoined twins are the result of developmental abnormalities.

KOWLOON, CITY OF DARKNESS

Here, prostitutes installed themselves on one side of the street, while a priest preached and handed out powdered milk to the poor on the other; social workers gave guidance, while drug addicts squatted under the stairs getting high; what were children's games centres by day became strip show venues by night. It was a very complex place, difficult to generalise about, a place that seemed frightening but where most people continued to lead normal lives. A place just like the rest of Hong Kong. —Leung Ping Kwan, City of Darkness Nothing like it had existed before, and nothing has since. "We all had very good relationships in very bad conditions," one ex-resident says. "People who lived there were always loyal to each other. In the Walled City, the sunshine always followed the rain."

EMPTY ARCHITECTURE

Urban and architectural decay often appeals to the imagination of some. While some consider the unfinished parts of the city as ugly or disturbing, others feel they make an area more interesting than the picture perfect urban fabric. The fascination with these spaces is widespread and perennial. Decaying structures, derelict places, abandoned lots and other urban imperfections have been the inspiration for many architects, artists and writers since long ago. From this conception, it is the imagination of the visitor who completes the virtual projection of the un-built.

ORGANIC MUTANT ARCHITECTURE

One organism, the parasite, benefits at the expense of the other, the host – Sucking the guts out! There once was a place of monumental cities with towers that swept American culture… people were swept away and consumed by the machines and buildings built by visionaries and is now self- transforming or mutating into a fantastic Organic Mutant Architecture Metropolis; it draws them into the depths. Determined to make my personality come alive. I fill my drawings with sprawling landscapes and bizarre mutated inhabitants. More than just a collection organisms, I complement with commentary and a foundation in the mutation and beliefs of multiple transformations

ORGANIC MUTANT ARCHITECTURE

I CAN'T GET MY WEDDING RING OFF MY FINGER A finger is a limb of the human body and a type of digit, an organ of manipulation and sensation found in the hands of humans and other primates. Normally humans have five digits, the bones of which are termed phalanges, on each hand (exceptions are polydactyly, oligodactyly and digit loss). The first digit is the thumb, followed by index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger or pinky. According to different definitions, the thumb can be called a finger, or not.

ORGANIC MUTANT ARCHITECTURE

The Baikal area has a long history of human habitation. An early known tribe in the area was the Kurykans, forefathers of two ethnic groups: the Buryats and Yakuts. The lakeshore here has a pebbly beach, market, several small hotels, and ferries across Baikal. A bit of shabby commercialism hangs over Listyvyanka – New Age trinkets hawked on the boardwalk and...then I found a Bull made out of clay, I decided to keep it in a warehouse as a souvenir.

THE ENGINEERS

One organism, the parasite, benefits at the expense of the other, the host – Sucking the guts out! An engineer is a professional practitioner of engineering, concerned with applying scientific knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to develop solutions for technical, societal and commercial problems. Engineers design materials, structures, and systems while considering the limitations imposed by practicality, regulation, safety, and cost. The work of engineers forms the link between scientific discoveries and their subsequent applications to human needs and quality of life.

TIMES SQUARE

1970s–1980s As early as 1960, 42nd Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenue, was described by The New York Times as “the ‘worst’ block in town. Times Square in that decade, as depicted in Midnight Cowboy, was gritty, dark and desperate, and it got worse in the 1970s and 1980s, as did the crime situation in the rest of the city things were worse still. By 1984, an unprecedented 2,300 annual crimes occurred on that single block, of which 460 serious felonies such as murder and rape.

THE ARCHITECT'S EYE

An eyeball implant, or extracurricular implant is a cosmetic implant involving a tiny piece of decorative jewelry which is implanted within the superficial, interpalpebral conjunctiva of the human eye. Such implants are illegal in the United States, and are currently available only in Africa and Cambodia. By the early part of the 20th century, piercing of any body part had become uncommon in the West. In the 1970s, piercing began to expand, as the punk movement embraced it, featuring nontraditional adornment such as safety pins; and Fakir Musafar began popularizing it as a form of Modern Primitivism, which incorporated piercing elements from other cultures, such as stretching. Body modification in general became more popular in the United States in the 1990s, as piercing also became more widespread, with growing availability and access to piercings of the navel, nose, eyebrows, lips, tongue, nipples and genitals.

MODERN PRIMITIVES

Modern primitives or urban primitives are people in developed nations who engage in body modification rituals and practices while making reference or homage to the rite of passage practices in "primitive cultures"

ARCHITECTURE OF SUBTERRANEAN SPECIES

Architecture of Subterranean Species In general, nocturnal of subterranean species have less interest in the visual world, and depend on other sensory modalities. Visual capacity is a continuum, with humans falling somewhere in the center. There are gateways to the surface everywhere. The traffic moves both ways. Things come up: things go down. One of those gateways is the Holland Tunnel with the implication that Dante had literally been describing Hell, having seen its subsurface chambers. Soon the Army Corps of Engineers gets involved. "They were tasked to reinforce tunnels, devise new transport systems, drill shafts, build elevators, bore channels, and erect whole camps underground. They even paved parking lots three thousand feet beneath the surface. Roadways were constructed through the mouths of caves. It takes days at a time to get anywhere; organisms move between underground base camps and vast instant cities further on, full of klieg lights, ringed with landmines, thriving behind walls of sandbags, Jersey and Texas concrete barriers and fortified machine gun nests. There are outbreaks of tropical cave disease and claustrophobia and there is something else down there, THAT ENEMY TWIN of the human race. Everywhere the descending blind organisms find evidence of primitive occupation at the deeper levels, down amidst overwhelming pressures beneath continents and beneath the sea. Of course surface dwellers want to explore; they want to see where the tunnels lead, to go out to the edges of the earth by going into the earth. Into Hell?, some characters innocently ask. NO, Not Hell: into an upper lithospheric environment, we read. "An abyssal region riddled with holes". It's time to look inward!....remove the designer from the process!!

ARCHITECTURE OF SUBTERRANEAN SPECIES

In order to reassemble them into a new "pet"-- a human centipede, created by stitching their input to each others' rectums.

ARCHITECTURE OF SOCIAL ORGANISMS

The last universal ancestor is the most recent social organism from which all organisms now living on Earth descend. All organisms on Earth are descended from a common ancestor or ancestral gene pool. Evidence for common descent may be found in traits shared between all living organisms

THE ARCHITECT

An architect is a person who plans, designs, and oversees the construction of buildings. To practice architecture means to provide services in connection with the design and construction of buildings and the space within the site surrounding the buildings, that have as their principal purpose human occupancy or use.

URBAN DECAY

Abandoned cities are an unfortunate consequence of life and growth on our planet. The reasons for abandoning a city are as varied as the people who once inhabited their buildings and walked their streets. Many of these cities are forgotten and simply line the pages of history. Some are examples of poor urban planning; some the result of the depletion of natural resources, while others are poignant reminders of the fragility of life in a nuclear world.

THE ARCHITECT

The architect's worst nightmare! An architect is a person who plans, designs, and oversees the construction of buildings. To practice architecture means to provide services in connection with the design and construction of buildings and the space within the site surrounding the buildings, that have as their principal purpose human occupancy or use.

MODERN BARBARIANS

One organism, the parasite, benefits at the expense of the other, the host – Sucking the guts out!

MODERN CANNIBALS

“Four legs good, two legs bad.” We associate cannibalism with films, TV and times gone by – like thousands of years of time gone by, surely? – rather than modern civilization. But these horrifying cases prove it’s not some distant savage crime or a far-fetched tale for harrowing entertainment – it’s something that still goes on around the world, and fairly regularly too. Warning, this is pretty grim, and isn’t for the faint-hearted…

MADE IN CHINATOWN

"four legs good two legs bad" because all the pigs start to walk on two legs. All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others. Animal Farm—and any human nation—gradually become corrupted. George Orwell

THE HORROR OF THE SPERM

Woman's horror as she learns sperm bank worker who swapped his own semen with samples is her real father ‘I thought I was this person, you know, [a combination of] my mum and my dad. But now my dad is not my biological father,’ said Annie. ‘Who am I? Who am I?’

ORGANISMS

The inner side out. Working parts of an organism or device.

DYSTOPIAN

UTOPIAN ARCHITECTURE

Other examples include a society where humans have struck a balance with technology and it is merely used to enhance the human living condition. In place of the static perfection of a utopia, evolving society allowing individuals and voluntary groupings to form the institutions and social forms they prefer...most likely utopia architecture is heading to dystopia.

IMPLANTS

In body modification, an implant is a device placed under the human skin for decorative purposes. Such implants may be sub-dermal or trans-dermal. In the context of body modification, some may consider injections of silicone and other substances a type of implant as well. Some types of implants may be performed by doctors or other medical professionals, while others are performed by body modification artists.

The foot is an anatomical structure found in many vertebrates. It is the terminal portion of a limb which bears weight and allows locomotion. In many animals with feet, the foot is a separate organ at the terminal part of the leg made up of one or more segments or bones, generally including claws or nails.

CAVEN POINT MARINE TERMINAL

Proposed design by J. F. Bautista The Caven Point Marine Terminal facility design seeks to identify the three major program components of the facility through its architecture. For programming purposes, the design team identified the three major building components for the CPMT as: Administrative Offices. Warehouse / Labs. Maintenance Facilities. Due to the impacts of coastal flooding and storm surge, special attention had to be given to the facility’s planning in an effort to protect the building in the event of a storm equivalent to Superstorm Sandy. Upon review of the programming graphics, it will be realized by the reviewer that each component has specific operational and functional requirements that can be identified in both plan and elevation which relate to the durability requirement and the area sensitivity of the components contained within. - See more at: http://architype.org/project/marine-terminal/#sthash.YGaTqvOM.dpuf
